E-Juice

If you’re new to vaping, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the huge selection of e-juice available to fill your device.E-Juice-Nicotine-Levels

There are literally hundreds of different juice suppliers – from local mom-and-pop shops, all the way up to multi-national e-liquid companies. Which option is right for you and how do you choose the right e-liquid for your setup?

The question most people have about e-Juice is what’s in that liquid that’s being atomized into vapor?

It commonly has three major components: An agent to produce the vapor, Nicotine for effect, and flavorings for taste. But, it could have as many as five.

e-Liquid or e-Juice is normally composed of up to 5 ingredients:

  1. VG (Vegetable Glycerin) This base makes up 80-90% of e-juice, and is many times mixed with PG. Used to create the vapor. Vegetable Glycerin is used, usually, by people with allergies or sensitivity to PG.
  2. PG (Propylene glycol) A higher PG mix e-juice will produce thicker clouds of vapor. However PG can dry out your throat and even cause mild allergic reactions in some users. If you have any issues with PG, just use a 100% VG e-juice like those from Virgin Vapor
  3. Flavor 10%-20%, using food grade flavoring.
  4. Nicotine 0%-2.4% depending on strength. Typically pharmaceutical grade pure nicotine.
  5. Distilled water is sometimes used to dilute if needed.

You’ll find e-juice in a variety of different PG/VG ratios – 50/50, 60/40, 80/20 and 100% PG or 100% VG. If you prefer more flavor and a stronger throat hit, then higher-PG e-liquid will probably suit you well, but if you prefer more vapor and less throat hit, then VG will offer a more satisfying experience.

The only way you’ll know which PG/VG ratio is right for you is to experiment. Do some experimenting with mixtures and flavors until you’re satisfied. We’ve compiled hundreds of flavors here, most flavors having varying PG/VG mixtures to choose from, along with organics, and others. This list will update frequently so come back for new assortments!
